Clare's first degree was in Western Herbal medicine at the College of Phytotherapy (E. Sussex) in 1991. As a practising medical herbalist she then became interested in how lifestyle, emotion and constitution contribute to disease, and she found this concept addressed more holistically by Chinese Acupuncture. She graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese medicine (Reading) in 1996.
Since then, acupuncture has been the basis of her practise, also using herbs where appropriate, combining the two therapies according to the needs of the individual patient.
Clare has also taught at the College of integrated Chinese medicine for several years, and retains a position within the faculty. She is now a practitioner at the Ishta Centre in Staffordshire.
